World Englishes Representation in English Textbooks of Indonesian Elementary Schools

This study aimed at investigating the representation of World Englishes (WE) in English textbooks used elementary schools Indonesia. Two books for a sixth-graders were as data sources. qualitative approach and document analysis method to gather data. The collected then analyzed based on Braj Kachru's theory comprising inner, outer, expanding circles. eventually validated by experts field applied linguistics. findings show that inner circle representations are found these two books. both circles was reflected from pictures reading texts. Meanwhile, outer did not acquire ample depiction In conclusion, effort introducing WE school students has been presented text dominated research this case.
